    My good friend uses one of those things and I give her the hardest time...I just don't think I could "leash" my kid. {haha}

    Neither cruel nor hilarious, but safe. My mom put me on a leash, but even more frequently, she put my sister on one because otherwise she'd be gone! Used properly, I think these are great.
